Basso Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Tiki Studios ("Tiki Studios", "we", "us") governing your use of the Basso mobile application ("Basso", the "app"). By downloading, installing, or using Basso, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

Basso is a self-guided voice-training app: structured vocal-exercise programs with coach audio, on-device pitch analysis and voice tests, and progress tracking. Basso is a wellness and self-improvement product.

2. Wellness, not medical advice

Basso is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The app is not a substitute for evaluation or care by a licensed speech-language pathologist or another qualified clinician — an app cannot examine your voice or spot everything a clinician can.

Consult a qualified professional — for example a certified speech-language pathologist, or your doctor for a referral — if weeks of consistent practice are not helping, if speaking often leaves you hoarse or tired, or if you have any concern about your voice or health. Basso is designed to work alongside, never instead of, professional care. Never disregard or delay professional advice because of anything in the app.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Basso. If you are under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live), a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf and supervise your use of the app.

4. Subscriptions, trial, and billing

Basso offers auto-renewing subscriptions through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

4.1 Subscription options. Basso offers a weekly, a monthly, and an annual plan. The current price for each plan is shown on the purchase screen and in the store before you buy, and may vary by region and currency. Prices are not restated here, so that a change in the store can never put these Terms out of date.

4.2 Free trial. Where offered on the purchase screen, new subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial automatically converts to the paid subscription you selected and your store account is charged. If you cancel during the trial, you keep access until the trial period ends and you are not charged.

4.3 Billing and auto-renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase (or at the end of any free trial). Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the then-current price for your plan.

4.4 Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your store account settings (on iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android: Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you keep access until then, and no partial-period refunds are provided by us. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.

4.5 Refunds. All billing is handled by the store. Refund requests are subject to the Apple App Store's or Google Play's own refund policies; we cannot process refunds directly.

4.6 Restoring purchases. Your purchase is tied to your store account. If you reinstall Basso or move to a new device, use Restore purchases in the app while signed in to the same store account to re-activate your subscription.

4.7 Price changes. If the price of your subscription changes, the store will notify you and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies.

5. Acceptable use

Basso is licensed for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:

• copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app or its content;
• reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code, except where this restriction is prohibited by law;
• misuse the app, interfere with its normal operation, or probe its systems;
• use the app for any unlawful purpose.

6. Intellectual property

Basso — including its software, training programs, coach audio, text, design, and brand — is owned by or licensed to Tiki Studios and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal purposes in accordance with these Terms and the applicable store's usage rules. No other rights are granted.

Your voice recordings stay on your device and are never received by us; progress images you export (share cards) are yours to share.

7. Third-party services

Basso relies on third-party services — the Apple App Store and Google Play (billing), Google Firebase (analytics and crash reporting), and RevenueCat (subscription management). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

8. Additional terms for Apple App Store users

If you obtained Basso from the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and Tiki Studios only, not Apple. Tiki Studios, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the app.
• To the extent any warranty applies despite Section 9 and the app fails to conform to it, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) in accordance with its policies; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product-liability, legal-compliance, and consumer-protection claims.
• Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any third-party intellectual-property claim relating to the app.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

9. Disclaimers

Basso is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular voice-training result — individual results vary and depend on consistent practice and individual factors.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tiki Studios and its officers, employees, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Basso. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose (or, if you paid nothing, USD 50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tiki Studios from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the app or your breach of these Terms, except where prohibited by law.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Türkiye have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring claims in your place of residence.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted at vitola.my/basso/terms with its effective date. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use Basso after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
